Scentre Group

In 2014, Westfield Australia and New Zealand separated from their parent company, and established their own new, listed group, named Scentre Group.

This was a significant international undertaking, and Scentre Group insisted on providing the best possible outplacement programs for their employees located throughout Europe, North America, the Middle East and Australia.

Brief

  • In January 2014, Westfield Australia and New Zealand separated from the global listed company and established a new listed company called Scentre Group.
  • After an extensive tender process, our team was appointed to managed the transition of all affected employees
  • Many of the Australia Senior Executives were located in Europe, North America and the Middle East
  • Many of the international and local staff needed to apply for new jobs in the new structure.
  • Scentre Group insisted on a premium, individual-based program for every employee, which resulted in their eventual placement into different roles. Many of these programs started in international locations.

Program

  • Many of the international and senior staff were supported by a newly developed Prima Careers’ newly-developed Executive Program, and focused on introductions to leading search companies, a coaching circle involving Geoff Morgan, respectful invitations to events and activities, and active introductions to Prima Careers’ networks.
  • Non-Executive staff were supported by appropriate programs and world-class technology with the aim of placement of those staff into an alternative career.

Results

  • Scentre Group and Prima Careers jointly set a project KPI of the placement of all participants in the program, irrespective of level or global location, into their next career of choice.
  • By reinventing the global Senior Executive outplacement process, Prima Careers obtained a 100% success rate for senior global Executives, while at the same time receiving universally positive feedback from both Scentre Group and the Executives regarding our proactive process.
  • At the non-Executive level, our rigorous measurement and feedback process ensured that the progress and satisfaction levels of all participants on the program was monitored carefully, and that all participants gained our personalised support the secure their next career of choice. At this level, a 100% placement rate is the agreed KPI, and Prima Careers continues to achieve this result.
