Case Studies – International

The Prima Careers team was instrumental in the formation of Career Star Group. Career Star Group brings together the premium providers in over 70 countries, and provides a seamless outplacement and career transition service to global customers. Our selection of case studies, below, reflects this.

We provide global reach with local excellence.

On global tenders, Career Star Group provides a third alternative to Right Management and LHH, and wins all tenders where quality of delivery is the prime driver.

Peter George, Managing Director of Prima Careers, is also a Director with Career Star Group, and represents the Asia-Pacific region in that capacity.

Supporting a major food manufacturer

  • From 2014-2016 Career Star Group worked in close partnership with one of the world’s leading food manufacturers to support them through a prolonged period of organisational change, as they looked to centralise many of their operational functions.
  • Devising a tiered approach to accommodate both the needs of individuals and the organisation’s desire to support those with long tenure, Career Star Group successfully delivered outplacement support of 470 employees in over 18 countries.
  • Central to the success of the project was the focus on quality and a service tailored to meet the needs of each individual eligible for support, coupled with strong global project management, regular review meetings and the agility to manage fluid timelines.

Supporting highly skilled technical experts

  • Since Feb 2016, Career Star Group has worked with one of the world’s geoscience leaders; providing outplacement support to highly skilled and technical employees whose roles have been affected by re-organisation.
  • Recognising that those affected were technical professionals with long tenure, in many instances having worked off-shore for long periods of time, the organisation wanted to ensure they provide the right level of support for each employee.
  • Career Star Group suggested a modular approach, including specific modules around self-employment and managing the personal impact of transition.
  • Working with each individual to explore and understand their needs, the organisation defers program selection to Career Star Group, who do so following an exploratory session to identify and recommend the right level of support.
  • This highly tailored support has been rolled out in 13 countries.

Providing world-class support to a Fortune 100 company

  • Since 2013 Career Star Group has worked with a Fortune 100 global insurance company to centralise and unify its approach to the delivery of global outplacement support.
  • Fundamental to the decision to select Career Star Group was the organisation’s focus on delivering consistently high quality support to employees in each of the 70 countries it operated within, and our ability to provide global project management.
  • Over 650 employees in 24 countries have now benefited from outplacement support delivered by Career Star Group, with a 99% satisfaction rating.

CGG International selected CSG as an international partner for a mix of reasons: homogeneity of outplacement service at global level, ability to support our people in all their home countries, offering a single point of contact, proven experience, but also because for their passion for caring about people. This is our own value and it’s even more important during difficult periods. A year later I had the opportunity to participate to their annual conference in Prague and it was amazing to see such a large group of people interacting with the same spirit I appreciated since my very first meeting
